Our community faces a critical moment as we confront challenges to the enjoyment of the neighborhood, our safety, autonomy, and shared spaces. Recently, important decisions about our roadways and neighborhood infrastructure were made without the direct input of the people most affected—us, the residents. This has led to installing speed bumps that, while well-meaning, compromise our daily convenience, emergency response times, and the unique quality of our neighborhood.
Friends of Whitewater Creek is taking a proactive step towards restoring control to the community, ensuring that each resident has a voice in the decisions impacting our safety, accessibility, and peace of mind.
We ask that you sign our petition to formally request the Board to immediately remove the current damaging and unsafe speed bumps and include property owners in installing any future appropriate traffic calming measures.
On the evening of Sunday, November 10th, 2024, the board presented their plans to hike our rates. They have since delivered an unprecedented budget designed to divide the operating budget from a massive new capital project increase to circumvent a 2/3 majority vote necessary to increase our dues by more than 10%.
It is critical to VOTE NO on BOTH the 2025 Budget AND the 2025 Capital Project assessment.
We can tackle the needed infrastructure issues when the Board is better aligned with the will of the property owners.
